In Production Room:
1. Make sure Adobe Audition is not open. If it is, close out of it before proceeding with step 2.
a. Note: Voice-tracking will not work if Adobe Audition is still running
2. Double Click on the Radio Automation icon on the desktop
3. In the WideOrbit application, touch or click the [MORE] button
4. In the dropdown list, touch or click [Open Voice-tracking]
5. In pop-up, touch or click on your radio station (WAKR-FM, WONE-FM or WQMX-FM)
6. In the calendar pop-up box, touch or click on the day to voice-track and that day’s log will appear in the left panel
7. Scroll thru the log to locate the first voice-track then touch or click to highlight it
8. The [Edit Voice-track] button below the log will turn blue (is grayed out until activated in step 7) which activates voice-tracking
9. The voice-tracking editor will appear in the right panel showing 1) the element before the voice-track break, 2) the voice-track break and 3) the next element after the voice-track break
10. To voice-track:
a. Ensure the WideOrbit and Microphone pots on the board are turned on
b. Press the [Space Bar] on the keyboard once to hear end of element before voice-track break
c. Press the [Space Bar] again on the keyboard to activate the voice-track break to record the audio
d. Press the [Space Bar] again to start the element after the voice-track break
e. Press the [Space Bar] again to end voice-track
f. Click on the [Preview] button to listen to voice-track or press the blue right arrow ➮ at the topof the screen to advance to the next voice-track break (Note: a message appears at the top of the screen to show voice-track was saved)
g. Repeat steps B thru F for the remaining breaks
h. To finalize, click [SAVE] button
Troubleshooting: No Audio
If you are not hearing audio in the Voice-track Editor, check to see if the Audio Server is turned on.
To check:
● In the bottom right corner of the screen, look in the taskbar to see if the the Audio Server icon (labeled as DASrv30) is present (you’ll need to hover over each icon to see name)
● If you do not see ‘DASrv30’ in taskbar,
● Exit out of WideOrbit
● Go to desktop and double click on ‘Audio Server’ icon. Note: the DASrv30 icon will appear in the taskbar in bottom right corner of screen
● Next, reopen WideOrbit by double clicking on the ‘Radio Automation’ icon on the the desktop
● Open Voice-track editor to see if that corrected the problem.
● If issue is still present, contact a representative from our IT team
