- Place the USB into the Show Prep PC.
- Close all programs/Chrome tabs that are currently open on the Show Prep PC.
- Open Windows Media Player.
- Click on the USB drive on the menu on the left. The music loaded on the USB will be visible on the right hand side of Windows Media Player.
- Click on a song/element you want to start with and drag to the playlist.
Alternate method: right click onto playlist, drop down menu appears, go to “Play” and left click and you can bypass step 6. - Switch the board from the Wide Orbit computer to play Windows Media Player through the Show Prep PC – Turn on and pot up Show Prep PC fader and pot down/turn off WO faders
- Click on the Play button on the bottom of the Windows Media Player window and you’ll have 2 hours or so of music/content to play in an emergency.
- Once music is playing, you are now able to get the Wide Orbit PC back up (this is the method to use if it randomly reboots or is stuck on a Windows 10 update.
- Once the Wide Orbit PC comes back up, switch the board from the Show Prep PC to the Wide Orbit computer and pot up/turn on the WO faders and pot down/turn off the Show Prep PC.
- You’re back to normal and on air!
If it won’t come up, start the process of switching the studio to Production Studio C.

***Note: If it’s a quick issue and is resolved within a few minutes, let IT know once you’re back to normal on the Wide Orbit PC. If it becomes something that takes anything more than a few minutes and/or you have questions please reach out to IT/Engineering (numbers are posted in each studio).
